Hi, I’m Nykesha
I'm the creator of 30-days to anti-racist parenting. People always want to know why I created this course and why I am putting myself out there the way that I am. It's simple, I'm a mother, just like many of you.
I have always been proud of my lineage and conscious of the fact that the color of my skin and others that look like me was feared by so many, but in 2016 when Philando Castile was murdered in front of his partner and young child I looked my sweet 5-year old in the face and became immediately terrified over the fact that my sweet Star Wars loving, lego building, never misses a chance to tell his family members, "I love you" little boy would also one day be perceived as a threat simply for just existing.
I've come to learn that all mothers carry fear in watching their child enter the world without standing next to them, but mothers of minority children, particularly Black ones, must deal with others fearing their children and then justifying why harm may be done to them.
The workshop is not only to help you unpack and grow past some of your own racism, but also how to raise your own children to be free of bias that would cause them to intentionally or intentionally harm their peers.

Your registration includes all four sessions which will provide you with education and then actionable steps to take in your home and in your community.
The workshop is tailored not only for your individualized experience, but also tips to incorporate anti-racist practices into your daily parenting style.
I've created a safe space for you to learn, but I've designed the curriculum to make you feel uncomfortable because time and time again we've learned that is the only way to grow.
